Following the success of the Blade 16 and Blade 14, award-winning laptops revealed at CES 2024, the Blade 18 laptop sets a new standard for gaming with its performance that rivals desktop computers in an elegant design made of oxidized aluminum.
Travis Forrest, who heads up Laptops and Accessories at Razer, said that the Blade 18 laptop is all about taking gaming laptops to the next level with some new cool features. They’re excited to launch the Blade 18 with Thunderbolt 5 ports and accessories, giving laptop users some serious desktop power for an amazing gaming experience.
Jason Ziller, VP of Customer Advocacy at Intel, highlighted how Thunderbolt 5 is a game-changer for performance, and he’s pumped to see brands like Razer coming up with fresh ideas for all kinds of users. Thunderbolt 5 provides data transfer speeds of up to 120 gigabits per second with Bandwidth Boost technology, three times faster than the previous generation of Thunderbolt.”
Razer unveils its latest gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 18 Gaming.
The Blade 18 is the world’s first laptop to come with an 18-inch display with a refresh rate of 200Hz and a 4K resolution for unprecedented visual clarity.
This screen is the first of its kind in the world, with an 18-inch size and ultra-high definition resolution of 3840 × 2400 pixels. It responds super quickly, in just 3.0 milliseconds, and covers the entire DCI-P3 color space.
You can use Thunderbolt 5 and Bandwidth Boost tech to hook up lots of high-res gaming screens and super-fast storage drives. The data flies at up to 120 gigabits per second, which is three times faster than the current Thunderbolt 4 setup.
The Blade 18 relies on the world’s fastest mobile processor, the Intel Core i9-14900HX from the upcoming fourteenth generation with 24 cores. In addition to its ability to overclock thanks to Razer Synapse technology, it provides unparalleled processing power for intensive computing tasks, whether running AAA games or creating professional content.
This computer comes with the most powerful graphics card from Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 4090 with a power consumption rate of up to 175 watts, benefiting from DLSS 3 technology that uses artificial intelligence to deliver fast frame rates and real-time ray tracing support.
Finally, Razer confirms that this computer is currently available on Razer.com for a price of $3100.
